Bonnie Prince Charlie requested a powerful drink be made by his royal apothecary that would invigorate his spirit, reflect his royal nature and pay tribute to Scotland. The secret recipe was left to the MacKinnon clan, becoming known on Skye as ‘Dram Buidhe', the golden spirit - the drink that satisfies.
Made from a blend of single malt whiskies aged a minimum fifteen years and melded with heather honey, herbs and spices, Drambuie's recipe has been kept secret since 1745.
