Tasting notes
- The Scene Margaret River, WA
- The Conditions Margaret River experienced a warm, dry vintage in 2010. These conditions resulted in rapid, uniform ripening of Shiraz fruit with vibrant colour, great retention of flavour and natural acidity at full ripeness.
- The Grapes Shiraz
- The Story The parcels of fruit for the final blend were initially taken into custody for fermentation and pressed off skins once the desired colour and sugar levels were reached. Final blending took place to achieve a wine that shows true Margaret River fruit character in a clean, modern style. The wine was captured under screw cap to preserve freshness.
- The Winemaker Adrian Sparks's Notes
- Profile: Looks Crimson red with deep purple hues.
- Profile: Smells Aromas of raspberries and strawberries are complemented by a fresh watermelon and citrus lift.
- Profile: Tastes A fruit-driven palate dominated by fresh berries. This sweet, juicy wine is well balanced and lightly spritzed to maintain a fresh finish.
